Today, October 25th, is Illinois Principal Appreciation Day. Peotone CUSD 207U would like to thank all of our administrators for their hard work and dedication to our district and schools!
At our October Board Meeting, we recognized over 40 students for their achievement on the Spring Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) State Assessment. All of these students received a 5 (exceeds expectations) in Math, ELA, or both areas. Congratulations!
State and Benchmark Assessment reports will be sent home with students tomorrow. Please check your email for details regarding these assessment reports.
Miles for Smiles will be coming to Peotone Schools once again. Please find the attached image regarding the upcoming event and be on the lookout for future updates coming home with your student.

Please be aware that weed control and/or fertilization of the lawns/hardscape areas at all District 207U schools will take place on the following days:

Peotone High School Student Council hosts Homecoming Week October 7 - 11, 2024. Save the date for the PHS Homecoming Parade!
Due to the Excessive Heat Warning that will be in effect tomorrow afternoon, Peotone Schools will be implementing a Common Plan Schedule on Tuesday, August 27th. Because of this change, the Peotone Early Education Program will run its AM session only. Additionally, all outdoor after-school activities will be canceled for tomorrow afternoon and evening. The PJHS Open House will also be postponed and rescheduled to a later date.
The Blue Devils went Orange for our District Opening Day as we welcomed back all our staff on Friday! Thank you to the Will County ROE for partnering with Peotone 207u to bring an incredible Keynote Speaker, Kim Tufnell, from The Happiness Advantage/ORANGE Frog to our district. It was fun, engaging, and actionable! We are so excited to welcome students back this week!

Teachers across the district from preschool through high school came to our first Open Curriculum Planning Sessions! Teachers were given time to work on exploring our new K-12 math curriculum, planning units of instruction for this upcoming school year, designing department common assessments, and so much more! It was a valuable time to collaborate and connect with colleagues to get a jump start on the great year ahead!
