Notice of Public Hearing
District 207U will hold the required public hearings to consider the closing of Peotone Intermediate Center at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
The sole purpose of the hearings is for the Board to obtain public input on the potential closure of Peotone Intermediate Center (9526 W Manhattan-Monee Rd, Frankfort, IL 60423).
All hearings will be held at the Peotone High School Media Center (605 W North St, Peotone, IL 60468) on the following dates and times:
Friday - February 13, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday - February 18, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.
Saturday - February 21, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
Board Policy 2:230 regarding public participation will be followed, and each speaker will be allotted five minutes and must sign up to speak.
To ensure broad community participation, public hearings will last up to 60 minutes or until all registered speakers have had the opportunity to speak, whichever comes first. A total of three public hearings are being held so that all interested members of the community will have the opportunity to address the Board.
