• The PJHS Library has 8,000 books, 30 working computers, reference materials, DVDs, CDs, Cable TV, White Board and LCD projector for teacher and student use. I am the Library Media Specialist for the district, and oversee all six building libraries. I am in charge of media at the JH and supply the teachers with all the "media" equipment they may need to teach in their subject area. We have classes in the library daily, every hour of the day. The library is used for teacher instructed classes, checking out books and audio books on CD for pleasure reading, research, silent sustained reading, formal receptions for parents, and projects such as scrapbooks, and book fairs. The library is a popular place for all types of activities.
• I have been employed by the district since 1970, as a Special Education Teacher, Elementary Education Teacher, a coach for girls' basketball, track, volleyball, and softball, Study Hall Supervisor and Librarian at the Connor Shaw Fifth Grade Center, and now Library Media Specialist for the district with an office at the Junior High.
