Welcome to the Peotone CUSD 207-U Buildings and Grounds Website! The Buildings and Grounds Department oversees all maintenance at Peotone's six buildings. The department employs 12 full-time and 6 part-time people who are responsible for maintaining our schools. During the summer months we employ approximately 30 people for summer cleaning and maintenance. All floors are waxed and rooms are thoroughly cleaned in anticipation of a new school year. We are proud to report that, as a department, we handle 75% of all building and grounds maintenance rather than contracting out! This includes lawn mowing, snow removal, electrical, plumbing, and tunnel work (steam pipes and return lines). This is a monumental job for our crew.
