Peotone Junior High School Speech Team
Club Description: The Speech Team is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who would like to expand their theatrical and public speaking/performing skills. Speech season is during September, October, and November. There is one contest where team members perform in various categories such as improv, regular duets, monologues, and small groups.
Eligibility Requirements: Participating students must meet IESA eligibility requirements.
Time Commitment: Students must memorize 5 - 10 minute scripts and attend two practices per week from 8:00 - 8:25 a.m.
Meets: IESA Speech Contest in November
Fees: $20 Scholl Activity Fee
Procedure for Joining: Register with speech coaches during sign-up week in mid September.
